As with elsewhere that deals with tourists in Vietnam, Phan Thiet has a fairly impressive range of hotels and guest houses. You will find the cheaper places in the town proper and the higher end resorts and boutique bungalow-style hotels out at the beaches. Mui Ne Beach has many good accommodation options and there is even a Novotel in town.

Phan Thiet has one five-star hotel, the Novotel, despite what local upscale hotels may tell you. The only problem is it's not located on the beach but it does have unparalleled service and quality in this region of coastal Vietnam. Mui Ne is a few miles east of Phan Thiet proper and has a glut of new posh resorts.

There are also moderately-priced accommodation options along the main drag in Mui Ne, although the hotel scene is generally in a state of flux. The farther east you head, the cheaper the hotels get. Another cheaper, but quality place is the Sinh Café in Mui Ne. It comes with a pool and fairly decent facilities, while Full Moon Beach is a great place to stay for those who are into kite boarding and windsurfing. Full Moon Beach also has a good bar and restaurant.

There are a few main areas to stay in Phan Thiet: those being the old town and port, at Mui Ne Beach and in Mui Ne village. Mui Ne is a fair way east of Phan Thiet town but most people come to Phan Thiet purely to stay here. Mui Ne is a really beautiful region of the world, with plenty of variety in its golden/red sand dunes, the warm turquoise sea and palm-lined streets and beaches.

Mui Ne village, in Mui Ne Beach district, is a charming fishing village which has a few accommodation options for travellers. There are beautiful views over the harbour and sea, local fishermen going about their daily routine and a small market selling fresh fish and local products.

Phan Thiet harbour is the other main place to stay in this region and probably the best pace to head for if you are after a relaxing time. There is lots of colourful scenery here consisting of fishing boats, bridges and parks and everything is lit up at night. The harbour is also good for strolling and has plenty of shops and restaurants to while away the time.
