Montreux is on the Swiss Riviera and has no shortage of hotels and guest houses to suit every need. There are a number of exclusive resorts around Lake Geneva and many more around the city. Most hotels can be found clustered together in the Old Town and conveniently located close to many of the sights.

Budget accommodation is most common in the town centre with hotels such as Hôtel-Restaurant de la Rouvenaz and Hôtel de Famille being among the most popular. These offer basic facilities but are comfortable and are ideal for those on a budget and large families. Mid-range hotels within the city include Hôtel Masson and Helvetie Hotel Montreux.

Within the city, the Fairmont Palace Hotel is just one kilometre away from Montreux railway station and looks out across the Alps. For those who don't like to be in the centre of it, there is a selection of hotels outside of the town, on the way to Lausanne. Wherever you choose to stay in Montreux, you will not be short of hotel options. It is important to book in advance, especially during the winter months and during the jazz festival as rooms book up fast and you do not want to be disappointed.
