A popular hotel with artists and musicians in South Africa, the Melrose Arch is one of the trendiest hotels in the country. Modelled on a blend of New York, Miami and San Francisco properties the melrose Arch has a library where guests can enjoy a drink as well as a game of pool. There is an outdoor pool which has tables and chairs in it for guests to take off their shoes, roll up their socks and cool off on hot days - it is also good for full swimming lengths. (AHJ04/09)

Exterior

A modern brick stylish 3 storey building with grand wood doors at the entrance and a terraced seating area overlooking the pretty Melrose Arch square.

Lobby

A medium size bright lobby area that spills over to the restaurant and lounge areas on either side. An illuminated walkway leads guests through to the minimalist modern reception desk.

Restaurant

As with the rest of the hotel the restaurant is modern in design with many personal touches making it a popular place to eat for guests and the public. Guests can watch the food being prepared and cooked in the tandoor and wood fired oven and choose from a fine menu boasting European and South African delicacies. An excellent choice of wines and cocktails is also provided.

Location

Located in Northern Johannesburg's new and trendiest area, the Melrose Arch development, this Superior Deluxe hotel is close to the M1 highway, offering easy access to all the city's suburbs. Sandton is just 6 km's away whilst Johannesburg International airpoprt is a 40 minute drive (26 km's). The hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants.

Rooms

These bright, stylish, modern rooms have extra large beds that face a wall of pine floor to ceiling cupboards. The cupboards house a flat screen TV with DVD player and in-room choice of 6 complimentary DVD's. There is also a snacks and mini-bar as well as a safe hidden by a picture (Of a safe breaker!). Rooms are open plan and have large opulent baths seperated from the room entrance by a wall of glass bricks. There is also a seperate shower. Rooms also include tea/coffee making facilities, internet access/modem point, climate control air con and room service.
