Lobby

The large lobby is spacious but lacks furniture. There is a large sandstone mural depicting an Indonesian legend. Stairs lead to the restaurants upstairs but it is plain and uninspiring.

Exterior

The exterior is white with black windows, it is a medium sized building that is easily recognized amongst the myriad other building by an onion haped restaurant in front on Orchard Road.

Restaurant

A cafe operated by a chain serving a great variety of food throughout the day. A Japanese restaurant offering Japanese cuisine with a modern taste. A Chinese restaurant of no particular fame makes up a weak nomenclature of eateries but restaurants abound on Orchard Road which is probably the reason for the lack of restaurants in the hotel.

Rooms

The rooms are large and bright, with light colour wall and beige colour bed cover. It is well appointed and well maintained. The double room has 1 queen size bed and the twin rooms have 2 super single beds. Views are of expensive condominiums behind or bustling Orchard Road in front.

Location

Situated in the heart of Orchard Road, the premier shopping belt in Singapore, the location is excellent for access to shopping, entertainment and restaurants. The business district is within easy reach by public transport. The Somerset MRT station is directly opposite the hotel, offering a convenient alternative to travel around the island.
