This hotel is a renovated Victorian hotel dating back to 1819. It was the first large purpose built hotel in Edinburgh and the exterior has remained largely unchanged, it is an imposing and grand 4 storey building. There are huge floor to ceiling windows on all floors at the front of the building.

Restaurant

The hotel restaurant combines the traditional listed features of the building with a contemporary element. The menu changes regularly but the cuisine overall is a blend of Scottish traditional foods and modern dishes from the continent.
