Lobby

This large lobby is dominated by pale marble and steel, with luxurious wooden trim around the reception area. The spiral staircase leading up to the mezzanine level where the banqueting and conference facilities are housed features a mosaic design reminiscent of the socialist-realist era when this hotel was built.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor adjacent to the reception area and close to the bar.

Exterior

This 25 storey modern structure stands out as one of tallest buildings on Bucharest skyline.

Rooms

The rooms are very well appointed and many have magnificent views over the city. They are generally medium in size with balconies, and recently most of the rooms have been renovated. The decor is quite contemporary.

Location

Hotel Intercontinental is located in the heart of Bucharest just a short walk from the National Theatre and the main sights. Public transport links are plentiful with a metro station just outside.

General

An excellent location and good accommodation, although the hotel is in need of a bit of renovation.WS1008
