Exterior

Karma Kandara is a spectacular cliff top high above the Indian Ocean at the farthest extremes of an elevated limestone peninsula. Each villa comprises two or three pavilions with traditional roofs, framing an infinity pool and garden courtyard complete with timber deck.

Karma Kandara presents guests with an array of dining options including the signature restaurant di Mare where Chef Simon Blaby creates World Class Mediterranean Cuisine, with an award winning wine list to match. di Mare situated on the edge of a cliff 85 metres above the sea, with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and the Bali landscape. The upstairs sundeck-open-air Temple Bar features DJ music and a hip, sexy, cool vibe serving global tapas and a trend-setting shisha and cocktail list. Alternately dine with your feet in the sand at the bottom of the cliff at Nammos Beach Club, a Mediterranean Grill featuring a brick oven and a Mykonianstyle approach to all that is seafood.

Location

Karma Kandara is located on hill Ungasan, the southern most extremity of the island. Bukit Ungasan offers a dramatic coastline, lime stone caves and temples perched on the edge of dizzying cliffs. In the southeastern corner a spectacular sapphire blue ocean view greats you. Karma Kandara is located 24 km from the airport, or approximately 30 minute drive.

Rooms

Each of villas (3 & 4 bedroom) are based on elaborations of the Balinese compound style, comprising one, two or three pavilions with traditional roofs, wood tiles, framing a central pool and courtyard. Terrace living rooms have an airy, expansive feel with their high pitched ceilings and creamy marble floors. Decor evokes an uncluttered Mediterranean ambience, with richly upholstered furnishings in shades of chocolate, cinnamon, copper, bronze and amber, accented with local artworks and antique artifacts.
