Lobby

The lobby area is large and open plan, with the reception desk facing the entrance. Large windows make for a light and airy atmosphere. There is a cream marble floor and pillars, and chalked oak timber walls. There is also plenty of comfortable seating.

Exterior

The exterior of the hotel is quite pleasant, being a modern low-rise building and typical north German, red brick construction.

Restaurant

Of the hotel's three restaurants, the cafe is the most informal. The brasserie is also quite informal and appropriately furnished. The à la carte restaurant has a more formal and elegant style.

Rooms

All of the rooms are large and pleasantly decorated and many have a country house/Laura Ashley-style decor. There are large king sized beds in the single and double rooms, and queen sized beds in the twin rooms. They are very comfortable, with lots of natural light. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in exceptional condition.

Location

The hotel is situated in the outskirts of Hamburg, to the south of the city centre. It is surrounded by open green space, located on three sides within a national nature reserve, which includes a small picturesque lake. On the other side is the motorway with excellent access to Hamburg and the whole north of Germany.
